UDems Presents: “What Now?” Panel

It’s no secret that Hillary Clinton’s loss sent a shockwave of emotions throughout the United States. All of your energy, time, and money spent on the Clinton campaign wasn’t wasted. We have so much to be proud of. Donald Trump’s hateful rhetoric has brought us together and raised the interest in politics among college students to new levels. UDems registered thousands of students to vote, informed them on the importance of local elections, and welcomed a number of great speakers to address our members. We are proud to have been #WithHer. We cannot and will not back down from our fight to make Texas, and our nation, bluer!

We’re excited to host a panel of distinguished individuals including State Rep. Gina Hinojosa and Cliff Walker, the head of candidate recruitment from the Texas Democratic Party. They will be discussing the future of Texas politics and what’s to come on the national stage.

Officer nominations will be heard at this week’s meeting. If you are interested in serving on the leadership team, this is your chance to let it be known! For those of you that would like to vote in the upcoming officer election, you will need to have your $5 membership dues paid by the end of Wednesday’s meeting.
