Get Out the Vote Committee – GOTV will be heavily involved in the upcoming elections. Our priorities are to increase voter turnout amongst young voters and to educate students of statewide, as well as local, Democratic candidates. We will accomplish these goals through an effective grassroots campaign that seeks to provide an opportunity for students wanting to get involved in political activism. Help us Turn -Texas -Blue!!!

Outreach Committee – The Outreach Committee is dedicated to making everyone in the UT community feel welcome to University Democrats. The students at the University of Texas come from a diverse set of backgrounds and the Outreach Committee seeks to reflect and represent that diversity through its recruitment and retention efforts. In addition to increasing membership and encouraging diversity, the Committee also works to establish and maintain relationships with other student organizations throughout our campus. By approaching and inviting an assorted mix of individuals and organizations to join UDems in our endeavor to serve our community and increase student participation in the political process, we hope to generate the unity and strength necessary to work toward and achieve our common goals, as well as to elect candidates who will help turn our visions into reality. If you are an outgoing, motivated, diversity-loving individual, then we’d love to have you aboard our team!

Policy Committee – In Policy Committee individuals will come and discuss important topics of the week. Concerning anything from world-wide issues to national dilemmas, and of course statewide concerns. We invite all members to join and be informed of current events and to have civil and open dialogues about issues pertinent to students. Meetings are every Wednesday at 7pm in Parlin 201!
